Role Summary: This position provides exposure to the analytical aspects of the deal process and current portfolio, including industry and financial analysis, valuation, return calculations and post-investment periodic review of financial results.

Job Description: 

• Review information memorandums, feasibility studies, and other marketing documents received from investment banks and companies’ principals seeking to sell and/or raise equity.
• Build valuation and buyout models (using various valuation techniques)
• Prepare detailed presentations and complex financial models after analyzing the target company and its competitive environment. 
• Collaborate with third-party advisors appointed to conduct due diligence (DD) investigations, as well as with the target companies’ executives and investment bankers on the progress of DD and assist in forming opinions on the findings of various DD reports.
• Review and provide commentaries on the financial results of portfolio companies and report deviations from forecasts/budgets and business plans.
• Assist SEII’s portfolio companies in formulating annual budgets, evaluating new projects and render analytical support to SEII’s board representative(s) in those portfolio companies.

Qualifications:

• BSc in Finance, Accounting, or Economics from a reputable university
• Passed Level 2 of the CFA or obtained another relevant professional certification
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in an investment firm or a similar role
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Proficient in building and updating financial models using MS Excel
• Experience in compiling presentations using MS PowerPoint
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment 
• Strong teamwork skills
